TRCN Accreditation
The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is responsible for overseeing and accrediting teacher education and professional development programmes across the country. This mandate is fulfilled through two distinct accreditation pathways:
• Institutional Accreditation
TRCN conducts Institutional Accreditation for Colleges of Education and Faculties of Education in Universities. This process ensures that Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programmes meet the national standards and that institutions uphold the minimum entry requirements and curriculum benchmarks for teacher preparation.
