Our Story

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) was established by the Federal Government Act 31 of 2004 (TRCN Decree No. 31 of 1993 now TRCN Act CAP T3 of 2004) under the Federal Ministry of Education.

Our creation was a response to the growing need for professional regulation in Nigeria's teaching sector, ensuring that educators meet international standards of quality, discipline, and professionalism.

Over three decades later, we've become the central pillar in Nigeria's commitment to educational excellence, serving over 1.5 million registered teachers nationwide.
